Bo Johansson
Johansson was a player for fourteen years with Kalmar FF and Lindsdals IF, though he did not win any trophies as a player. In 1977 he was appointed coach in his former club of Kalmar FF, a job he held for two years before switching to local rivals Öster IF. Here he would remain for three years, leading Öster IF to back-to-back Swedish Allsvenskan championships in 1980 and 1981. Bo Johansson went on to coach Norwegian club FK Jerv, Greek club Panionios NFC, and started an international career coaching the Iceland national team. He would have to wait 13 years for his next title, until he in 1994 coached Danish team Silkeborg IF to the national Danish Superliga championship.
In 1996 he was appointed Danish national team coach, taking over from Richard Møller Nielsen who had managed the Danish team to the 1992 European Championship (Euro 1992) title, but subsequently suffered lacklustre results. Bo Johansson presented a more offensive way of playing and he was successful in revitalising the Danish team, leading it to the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, which was to become one of the heights in Danish football. Despite a loss in the group stage to later tournament winners France, Denmark managed to go through to the final 16 where they put an attractive style of football on display, beating Nigeria 4-1 before losing out 2-3 in the quarter-final to the later silver medalists from Brazil.

Michael Silberbauer
He came to F.C. Copenhagen from AaB in the summer of 2004. He originally played for Støvring IF.
In the spring of 2005, he was in top form, scoring 4 goals in 2 games. But then he got an injury, in an important Brøndby match. After that his play went steadily downhill, but once again it is moving uphill as of recent matches. In his prime, he has been selected to the Danish national team, where he scored the single goal in a friendly against Finland in extra time.

Thomas Sorensen optimistic for World Cup
Thomas Sorensen says he is "as upbeat as I can be" about his chances of recovering in time to play for Denmark in the World Cup after dislocating his right elbow while playing for Stoke City against Chelsea on Sunday.
Doctors were able to reset the dislocation without surgery, boosting his hopes of making Denmark's World Cup opener against Holland in Johannesburg on 14 June. The 33-year-old has 86 caps for his country and played for them in the 2002 finals, when they were eliminated by England in the last 16.
"I am as upbeat as I can be in this situation – at least I am left with some hope of making the World Cup since the injury is not as bad as feared," Sorensen said. "I am glad that I don't have to have my elbow put back in place every day because I was in severe pain and I did wonder if my dream had been shattered.
"Fortunately, it was only a dislocation and there was no lasting damage when it was put back in place. It will be a race against time, but I do believe I can make it."
Sorensen was injured after Salomon Kalou jumped in to turn a loose ball into the net for Chelsea's second goal in their 7-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.
"It was a reckless challenge," Sorensen said. "I know the ball was loose but the way he threw himself into the situation with studs up was not OK.To enjoy the thrill you can get your World Cup 2010 tickets for all the world cup matches and world cup 2010 tickets for the world cup online. William Kvist
As child he also played handball, and is therefore known for his very long throw-ins. As a youth player he achieved to win the Danish youth championship in both handball with FIF and football with KB within the same year. He was also the captain of both teams.
William was promoted to the first team in 2004. He debuted on 2005-04-23 against FC Nordsjælland where he replaced an injured Ole Tobiasen on the right back position. His first F.C. Copenhagen goal came on October 22, 2006 in a 3-0 win against Viborg FF, where he scored the last goal from long range.
Against Ajax Amsterdam in the UEFA Champions League 3rd qualification round 2006 it was Kvist's pass that deflected off Ajax-defender Thomas Vermaelen for an own-goal. This goal eventually sent F.C. Copenhagen through to the Champions League Group Stage.
In the season 2005-06, he often came in as substitute on mostly the left wing - a position he didn't enjoy playing. He has also played in defence and other midfield positions.

The Parken
In 2006 Parken's 13-year monopoly on national team matches was broken, for a May 27, 2006 friendly game at NRGi Park, with World Cup 2006 participants Paraguay the opponent, almost 19,000 of the 22,227 tickets were sold within the first hour of sale.[13] The game was a big success, support-wise, and another game at a new venue followed on September 1 at Brøndby Stadium. However, this match only attracted 13,186 spectators (in a 26,000 capacity stadium) and was deemed a relative failure. The reasons are thought to be a combination of the poor, rainy weather, and the fact that this stadium is located on the outskirts of Copenhagen, and as such does not attract a new demographic, as the travel distances and times to Parken are not much greater, if not lesser, for most of the population.

Underdog Denmark sets sights on another upset at World Cup
The 1992 European champions have survived the first round in each of its last three World Cup appearances, and this year's tournament in South Africa could be No. 4. But first, the Danes will have to get through a group containing the Netherlands, Cameroon and Japan.
"The goal in South Africa is to get past the first round," Denmark coach Morten Olsen said. "The chances are there. But then again, Cameroon and Japan can say the same. We'll see. Good football always gives the best results."
Olsen hasn't yet picked his squad, but the pool of players doesn't include any of the top names in international soccer.
Feyenoord striker Jon Dahl Tomasson and Ajax winger Dennis Rommedahl are nearing the twilight of their careers. Still, they form the backbone of the team with Liverpool defender Daniel Agger, Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen and Arsenal striker Niclas Bendtner.
Many experts didn't give the fairly low-profile squad much chance of making it to South Africa, but the Danes stunned both Portugal and Sweden to win their qualifying group. The team set the tone early with a 3-2 win in Portugal, and then beat Sweden twice to command the group all the way to the finish.
"The World Cup is very different from the qualification round, which stretches over a year and a half," Olsen said. "In South Africa, it only spans over four weeks and all players that I will pick must not have any injuries and be in their best shape. It is much more intense."
Denmark enters the tournament after having missed both the 2006 World Cup and the 2008 European Championship.

Denmark's golden moment in soccer history is the win over Germany in the 1992 European Championship final - a tournament it joined as a late replacement for war-torn Yugoslavia. It also upset Germany in the group stage of the 1986 World Cup.
In its last World Cup appearance in 2002, Denmark sent advanced ahead of defending champion France before losing to England in the second round.
