Michael Lumb

Lumb was born in Aarhus, Denmark. He has shown to be a very reliable and promising young left back. Lumb was named the young gun "Shooting Star" of the autumn season 2007/08 by the Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet and according to the AGF Sporting director, he has so far attracted offers from English and German clubs (Said to be Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa and Hamburger SV), while also Ajax Amsterdam have been linked to the talented Danish U-21 International. On 11 January 2010 it was reported on AGF's website that he was moving to Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Russian Premier League. He came from AGFs very talented '88-volume who won the Danish Youth Championships like Morten Beck Andersen, Frederik Krabbe, Michael Vester, Niels Kristensen, Jesper Blicher and Anders Syberg who all have had their debute on the AGF A-team. Lumb has always been an important player, both on AGFs youth teams and on the national teams.
